Discover Thailand’s world-famous Similan Islands from Khao Lak, just north of Phuket. Staying in the charming village of Nang Thong Beach, you’ll enjoy guided dives with a 4:1 diver-to-guide ratio. Highlights include Koh Bon, home to a manta ray cleaning station with chances to see oceanic mantas up to 29 ft; Koh Tachai, a pinnacle site rich in coral and pelagic life; the remote Surin Islands with pristine reefs near the Myanmar border; and the legendary Richelieu Rock, Jacques Cousteau’s favorite site, renowned for its vivid colors, schools of jacks, and abundant marine life.

THE RESORT

Stay five nights at the Seaview Resort Khao Lak—four before the liveaboard trip and one after. Located on Nang Thong Beach, the resort offers direct beach access, multiple pools, restaurants, bars, and modern amenities. Its central location provides easy access to the town’s restaurants, markets, and local attractions.

THE LIVEABOARD

Spend six days and nights aboard the MV Bavaria, a modern liveaboard visiting Similan Island, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, the Surin Islands, and Richelieu Rock, with select land excursions. All cabins feature air conditioning, with options from standard bunk to deluxe private. The trip includes full board dining and up to 22 dives, with Nitrox available and encouraged.
